Organ Museum Ostheim in Hanstein Castle

The Ostheim organ museum is located in the Hanstein Castle - a late-medieval manor house - since 1994. The exploration of the history of the organ together with the creation of a show- and study-collection are the central attractions of the museum. In this way technical details are being adjoined to their corresponding music- and mindhistoric epoch. The construction of an organ pipe and its specific sound are thus easy to grasp.

Dive into the more than 2000 year-old history of the organ. During the resounding tour of the museum (only by registration) you will discover not only technique but also the masterly art of the organists.

Children are especially welcomein the museum.
Outfitted with the discoverer rucksack they explore the museum on their own and solve many tricky tasks at particular children stops with the help of "Orgelinchen, the mascot of the museum.
